Music Distribution

What is UPC code and How do I create a UPC?

A UPC (Universal Product Code) is a unique 12-digit number that identifies an entire music release — such as an album, EP or single — for tracking sales, streams and distribution on digital platforms and in physical stores.

If you do not have a UPC, one can be assigned for you when you create the release. There is no charge for this.

A UPC identifies the release as a whole; an ISRC identifies each individual recording on it. You need both.
